Success Tips

“We cannot become what we need to be, by remaining what we are” Max Depree

There are certain trains and personal values common to great people. No one can claim to have the monopoly of these trains, because they are values that can be learned and adapted by a willing mind. They are common denominator to many successful people.

Intellectualism. Learn to perfect your skills in your profession. Sharpen your mind and endeavor to be amongst the brightest minds in your business line. If you keep updating yourself on the most current techniques in your profession and improving your performance in line with future expectations, your output will be on the rise. A higher responsibility will be bestowed on you and promotion will beckon on you. Ultimately, you might own your own corporation and be in control of your financial destiny. Remember, a man is not made until he controls his own means of production. Consistently improved performance is the sure way to the top because success builds on success. In the western Nations, the best brains are the ones in position of authority. Holding such position is by merit and nothing else.

Dream and Direction. Dream big dream. Have a clear cut aim as you move on in life. A man who knows where he is headed will gather momentum faster than the one who is undefined. Do not let your present circumstances becloud you future expectations. Define your goals, write them down and make them as clear as possible, then pursue them most vigorously. Habakkuk 2 vs 2 write down your plan and intention, make it concise and plain, so that you can pursue it with passion” ( paraphrased).Barrack Obama had a dream before he became what he is today.

Optimism and carriage. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Market yourself with respectable appearance. Carry yourself as someone who knows how to handle issues in your filed of operation. Be a solution provider and not a fault finder. Increase your knowledge and package yourself for success. Think and act as if you are there, until you actually get there. Think success, despite your contrary situations. Dress successfully, even though, it seems you is not yet successful. Don’t stop talking success, whether you succeed in a set of target or not. Do not quit because you did not get it right on time. Persistence is the mother of productivity. The true life story of Abraham Lincoln is a perfect
example.

Good company/ Association. According to Proverbs 27 vs 17 “Iron sharpened iron, so a man sharpened the countenance of his friend". If you want to advance in your career, begin to use materials produced by the best people who are at the fore front in your field. Look for their documented solution when necessary. The supposedly high cost of acquiring such relevant information cannot match the long term benefits that you will derive from correctly applying them. No one is an island: do not try to be one.

Focus. Learn to focus the power of your creative reasoning on an issue until you think it through. According to Mathew 6 vs 22” if therefore thin`e eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” If you can think it through, you will eventually breakthrough. Concentrate your energy in a singular direction per time .master one thing, before you go to another. If you have not grasped the basics, do not try to rush to the more complex stage.

Positive Thinking. positive Thinking is simply to think what you want until it become a part of you. Great people control their thoughts, but common people are control by their thoughts. Great people set out how to advance above the limiting circumstances around them, while, common people are controlled by dwelling too much on the limiting circumstances around them. Jesus Christ was the most optimistic person that ever lived. When Lazarus was dead, Jesus said he was sleeping. And the sleeping man eventually woke up. (John Chapter 11).

Moral Values. Be honest with yourself and others. Always be the first to give or offer something. Be selfless in serving others. According to Zig Ziglar: “if you can give enough people what they want, you will eventually get enough of what you want”. Be willing to offer help without necessarily thinking of what you will get in return.

The Power of Aspiration

“Your best days are not in your past, they are in your future: - Joel Osteen

Man is so made that when anything fire his soul, impossibilities become possibilities. Aspiration is the mother of possibilities. To aspire is to desire eagerly or to aim high. Aspiration is a personal commitment to be outstandingly successful in an area of life. It is a deliberate and calculated step to accelerate your progress in your area of specialization. Your aspiration determines your destination.

However, many people have unconsciously conditioned their mind to accept their present statues as the final bus stop. Such people are satisfied with little achievements. They are contented with enough to get by.
But, the person that will eventually emerge successful and great in his lifetime must begin to condition his mind for greatness from early in life. Good success is a function of personal aspiration that meet with opportunity or create one where there seems to be noon. Opportunities for success abound in the world, but many people have limited mind capacity to accept the reality of limitless opportunities that are begging for attention all around.
God will not bless you beyond what you can successfully manage. Hence, the fastest way to receive supernatural breakthroughs is through increased mind’s (mental) capacity.

Self Development. Greatness is a product of the little seed that germinate from your mind. Whatever your mind can accept, will ultimately be delivered to you. If you develop your mental capability to accept greater possibilities, those possibilities will soon become your reality. Success is usually received in the spirit and it will pass through your mind to reach your hand. Therefore, if your mind has no capacity to accept it, you will miss it. Spiritual sensitivity, increased mental capacity and alert body are sanctuary of success.

The moment you stop aspiring for greater success, you will start losing ground. Never be satisfied with the status quo. You can still improve your present performance. The son of local farmer will not appreciate other farmers, until, he visit their farm.

Scope OF Influence. Your responsibility and area of influence will widen in scope in response to your intellectual capacity in management, leadership and organization.

Success is never static
. It is a moving trains that only moving people can board. If you cease to make progress in your field, some junior ones will catch up with you and overtake you. You cannot rely on your experience alone, because your competitors might discover a new and better way (a modern trend) that makes your experience outdated.

Success Is For Progressive People.
Engage in further research in your area of specialization. Discover new tricks for your business. Aspire to gain ground in your field of operation. I discover that very few people ever desire to be billionaires. Most are contented with a millionaire status. But, when you understand that the wealth in your custody is to make life easier for the less privileged, you will aspire for more.

Misplaced priority is the bane of many millionaires today. When your priorities are right in line with the will of God, you will see the need to expand the frontier of your businesses. The primary objective of your business should be employment creation and not the monopolization of profit. If you change your perspective in line with my statement above, the sky will no longer be your limit. You will become limitless! If you always aspire for the best, at least you will end up being better, instead of just remaining good.

Even, when the changes you desire seem not to be coming fast, you are still getting better because of your positive state of mind. Package yourself for where you are going. Raise your head up high and walk with great gait and better carriage. Positive aspiration brings about improvement in actions and performance.

See the Big Picture

“Success in not measured by the height one attains, but, by the obstacles one overcome in the quest to attainment”-Anonymous

Great people go through life with a clear cut definition of what they want out of life. When you have a precise target, your are most likely to hit the mark. The reason for lack of significant accomplishment in most people’s life is lack of a clearly –defined goal. Some people have too many goals; hence, they achieve nothing, because their energy is divergent. It is the convergence of energy at a point of purpose that brings quick result. You will be better off if you are an expert in one thing rather than average at everything. The people without goals will either have no accomplishments or at best insignificant accomplishments. Life to them is only a matter of being able to take care of themselves and their immediate family and nothing more. Life is much more. Life is about accomplishing your goals by contributing positively to the advancement of mankind.

The starting point is that every man needs just a single big picture of most important thing they want to achieve to be perpetually implanted in their mind. The second step is to determine the price you have to pay in terms of time, physical sacrifice and mental efforts etc to achieve the goal. The last step is to give it all it takes i.e to get busy paying the price attached to the attainment of your calling. Be highly devoted to your assignment and pay the price for obtaining the best result from every effort. It is actually very simply to be a winner. Just decide to do it, and take winning action from today henceforth.

Role modeling and mentorship
The best way to learn is to emulate the master. There are successful people in every profession. Whatever area of life you want to excel, just locate the people who have done very well in such areas in recent past and learn from them. Pick out the people whose life and business you admire, figure out the strategies they used and apply same to your life. If you want to be successful, study only successful people. Modeling is short cut to great achievements in life. Michael Faraday, (1791-1867), was one of the greatest scientist of the nineteenth century. Although, he had little formal education, he went on to become one the most influential scientists in the field of the electricity after undergoing tutelage under a senior scientist ; Sir Humphry Davy, (1778-1829), who was one of the most celebrated British chemists of the early nineteenth century. Today, Faraday is better known than Davy in terms of scientific achievements. If you can improve on all the virtues you learn from your mentors, you will have greater achievements in life.
However, if you are observant, interested and committed to learning, any event, person or situation is a potential teacher. Everything you try that fails is a chance to learn and move on to better things in life. Failure is always a lesson. It is never the end of the journey.

Mental Picture
When your intellectual mind comes under spiritual illumination, success will burst forth in your life. Therefore, always visualize your success in your mind every day. Go through the picture of your successful self in your mind every morning after your prayers before you step out of your home. It will enhance the clarity of your vision through your life. Visualize yourself as performing excellently well in your career, profession and commercial undertaking. Every successful end is preceded with positive thought that is backed up with effective actions. Every man’s wealth is a product of his capacity to think and every financial fortune is traceable to the working of productive ideas in that business. If you want to be successful in a business endeavor, develop yourself to have one of the most profitable and workable ideas in that business. Life is formed from inside out. What you are ‘today’ is the outcome how productively you were able to work the divinely inspired ideas that were revealed to you ‘yesterday’. When you prepare yourself adequately, some day your chance will come. Whenever opportunity meets preparation, success is bound to be the outcome.
