See the Big Picture

“Success in not measured by the height one attains, but, by the obstacles one overcome in the quest to attainment”-Anonymous

Great people go through life with a clear cut definition of what they want out of life. When you have a precise target, your are most likely to hit the mark. The reason for lack of significant accomplishment in most people’s life is lack of a clearly –defined goal. Some people have too many goals; hence, they achieve nothing, because their energy is divergent. It is the convergence of energy at a point of purpose that brings quick result. You will be better off if you are an expert in one thing rather than average at everything. The people without goals will either have no accomplishments or at best insignificant accomplishments. Life to them is only a matter of being able to take care of themselves and their immediate family and nothing more. Life is much more. Life is about accomplishing your goals by contributing positively to the advancement of mankind.

The starting point is that every man needs just a single big picture of most important thing they want to achieve to be perpetually implanted in their mind. The second step is to determine the price you have to pay in terms of time, physical sacrifice and mental efforts etc to achieve the goal. The last step is to give it all it takes i.e to get busy paying the price attached to the attainment of your calling. Be highly devoted to your assignment and pay the price for obtaining the best result from every effort. It is actually very simply to be a winner. Just decide to do it, and take winning action from today henceforth.

Role modeling and mentorship
The best way to learn is to emulate the master. There are successful people in every profession. Whatever area of life you want to excel, just locate the people who have done very well in such areas in recent past and learn from them. Pick out the people whose life and business you admire, figure out the strategies they used and apply same to your life. If you want to be successful, study only successful people. Modeling is short cut to great achievements in life. Michael Faraday, (1791-1867), was one of the greatest scientist of the nineteenth century. Although, he had little formal education, he went on to become one the most influential scientists in the field of the electricity after undergoing tutelage under a senior scientist ; Sir Humphry Davy, (1778-1829), who was one of the most celebrated British chemists of the early nineteenth century. Today, Faraday is better known than Davy in terms of scientific achievements. If you can improve on all the virtues you learn from your mentors, you will have greater achievements in life.
However, if you are observant, interested and committed to learning, any event, person or situation is a potential teacher. Everything you try that fails is a chance to learn and move on to better things in life. Failure is always a lesson. It is never the end of the journey.

Mental Picture
When your intellectual mind comes under spiritual illumination, success will burst forth in your life. Therefore, always visualize your success in your mind every day. Go through the picture of your successful self in your mind every morning after your prayers before you step out of your home. It will enhance the clarity of your vision through your life. Visualize yourself as performing excellently well in your career, profession and commercial undertaking. Every successful end is preceded with positive thought that is backed up with effective actions. Every man’s wealth is a product of his capacity to think and every financial fortune is traceable to the working of productive ideas in that business. If you want to be successful in a business endeavor, develop yourself to have one of the most profitable and workable ideas in that business. Life is formed from inside out. What you are ‘today’ is the outcome how productively you were able to work the divinely inspired ideas that were revealed to you ‘yesterday’. When you prepare yourself adequately, some day your chance will come. Whenever opportunity meets preparation, success is bound to be the outcome.
